Welcome writers! Whether you are a new or experienced writer, it can be very helpful to take a break from solitary writing and meet other writers and publishing professionals. Below you will find a list of writing events to help you find opportunities to learn and network. 3 Penny Publishing events are listed first, followed by other writing events in BC and beyond.
“I get a lot of letters from people. They say: ‘I want to be a writer. What should I do?’ I tell them to stop writing to me and get on with it.” —Ruth Rendell
“Remember: when people tell you something’s wrong or doesn’t work for them, they are almost always right. When they tell you exactly what they think is wrong and how to fix it, they are almost always wrong.” —Neil Gaiman
“Beware of advice—even this.” —Carl Sandburg
