About the author:
“Nutmeg B” (now a young adult) wrote this when she was a 10-year-old home-learning student. She posed her favourite stuffed animal friends in several parks in Victoria (including Beacon Hill Park) and in Market Square when it still had a coin-operated mechanical pony. Her mother took the photos and had them developed (this was just prior to the ubiquity of digital photography). Nutmeg then created the story by arranging the photos in a blank book and writing the story in captions. The renegade quirky humour could have something to do with a father who does stand-up comedy.
